There are two planning issues for land tax: obtaining exempt status and enjoying the land tax threshold. While the OSR is becoming increasingly less accommodating as to whether land qualifies for the primary production exemption, there is little the OSR can do to deny the land tax threshold if the correct structure is employed. Pension Revolution Continues 

In the latest development of the Pension Revolution, the ATO has issued (in draft) an extensive tax determination dealing with asset segregation for the purposes of supporting pension payments.
