It's a simple 4 step process:
Step 1 - Estate Planning Guide and Testamentary Manual System
It takes a little time and requires a little focus to develop a Testamentary Manual for a client, but good information gathering is vital to the development of an estate plan that rewards many times over in tax saving, asset protection and the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the clients family and loved ones will be well looked after.
Step 2 - Lawyer review and quote
The acting lawyer reviews the Clients Testamentary Manual and contacts the adviser for further information if required before providing a recommendation as to the type of estate plan that is best suited to the client’s personal situation with a fixed price quote.
Step 3 - Finalisation of estate planning documentation
Our estate planning lawyers take into consideration the client’s company and asset structures as well as personal circumstances provided in their Testamentary Manual and integrate these into the testamentary documentation to effectively transfer wealth. The final documents are then uploaded into your firm's account page for download and if requested, sent as a hard copy file.
Step 4 – Signing the documents
The adviser assists their clients to sign the testamentary documentation. A web-based conference call or a meeting in our Sydney offices can also be organised if help is required in the signing of the documents. A scanned copy of the signed documents is then returned to Townsends to check that the testamentary documents have been signed correctly and then also uploaded to the client page for your future reference.
