Binding death benefit nomination - Tailored legal

Binding death benefit nomination - Tailored legal

This tailored legal service revokes all previous SMSF Death Benefit Nominations (if any) whether binding or non-binding and allows an individual Member to nominate beneficiaries and variable and cascading instructions for the Members superannuation death benefit.

For example, it may be used to:

  • Nominate a spouse to receive a pension on the Member's death
  • if the spouse does not survive the Member, then the children can be nominated to receive the super in equal shares as a lump sum; and
  • if none of the children survive, then the estate can be nominated to receive the death benefit to be dealt with under the Will.

Use this service to ensure certainty that the BDBN documentation is tailored correctly and to ensure the Member’s wishes with regards to their superannuation are compliant with superannuation law and are clear and unambiguous.

For both individual and corporate trustees.   Documents include:

  • Binding death nomination
  • Trustee resolution
  • BDBN background information

For additional specific tailored documentation, a separate quote may be provided.
