Binding death benefit nomination (class cascading)
Product type: Standard template | no legal review or advice
This flexible template revokes all previous SMSF Death Benefit Nominations (if any) whether binding or non-binding and allows an individual Member to nominate successive cascading alternative beneficiaries.
It directs the trustee of the Superannuation Fund to allocate amounts payable and form of payment as follows:
- Primary beneficiary or beneficiaries; if none then to
- Second beneficiary or beneficiaries; if none then to
- Tertiary beneficiary or beneficiaries; if none then to
- Legal personal Representative of the deceased estate
The form is partially pre-filled with fund and member details. Beneficiary and other details must be entered manually after downloading the document.
This type of death benefit nomination is flexible and caters for standard situations. However, when strategic integration with the Members estate plan is required, or in the event of possible complexity, such as blended family requirements for example, then a tailored BDBN based on the Members specific situation is required.
