Binding death benefit nomination – multiple beneficiaries (standard form)

Binding death benefit nomination – multiple beneficiaries (standard form)

Product type:   Standard template | no legal review or advice

This standard template revokes all previous SMSF Death Benefit Nominations (if any) whether binding or non-binding and directs the trustee to allocate amounts payable by the Superannuation Fund specifically to:

  • Multiple Beneficiaries

The form is partially pre-filled with fund and member details.  Beneficiary details must be manually entered after downloading the document.

This type of death benefit nomination is flexible and caters for straightforward situations.  However, in the event of any complexity such as blended family requirements or integration of Members financial planning structures and/or estate planning is required, then a tailored BDBN based on the Members specific situation should be used.     For further advice and information as to how we can assist, please make an enquiry.

Important note:  This Death Benefit Nomination only relates to Self Managed Super Funds (SMSFs) and can be used by both individual and corporate trustees.

For superannuation funds governed by non-SUPERCentral or non-Townsends Lawyers Governing Rules, please review the applicable trust deed and governing rules to determine if the template is suitable for the Superannuation Fund.

Please also ensure that the individual making the nomination reads the ‘Binding Death Benefit Nominations – Background Information’ section included in the document set before completing the nomination.

Documents include:

  • Binding death nomination
  • Trustee resolution
  • BDBN background information
