This template is only appropriate for the situation where, on the death of a member, the allocation of the death benefit of member is governed by a binding death benefit nomination.

This form is partially pre-filled with fund and member details and must be modified as required.  Variable text is indicated in red.

The purpose of these resolutions is to: 

  • note the death of a Member (“the Deceased Member”) of the Superannuation Fund;
  • note that the Deceased Member made a Binding Death Benefit Nomination (“the Nomination”) which governs the allocation of the Deceased Member’s superannuation interests in the Superannuation Fund; 
  • confirm that the Nomination is valid and binding on the Trustee and that the Nomination applies to one or more superannuation interests of the Deceased Member in the Superannuation Fund;
  • authorise the allocation of the superannuation interests of the Deceased Member in accordance with the Nomination.
